Frank Grillo and director Joe Carnahan reteam after the excellent Boss Level for Copshop, an action thriller that stars Grillo as a wily con artist with a price on his head. Hiding out in a small-town police-station, an insane hit man (Gerald Butler) makes his way inside setting up an explosive confrontation. Carnahan’s penchant for action mayhem featuring a cascade of colourful assassins and killers appears to be in full swing with Copshop, along with an entertainingly deranged Butler taking on the always solid Grillo in rare weasel role.
Copshop releases in US cinemas September 17th.
