Jeff Bridges is bound for Oscar glory in Fox Searchlight's highly anticipated drama, Crazy Heart.

Bridges stars as broken down country music singer Bad Blake, who finds solace in journalist Jean Craddock (Maggie Gyllenhaal), and becomes a mentor to contemporary country star Tommy Sweet (Colin Farrell).

Robert Duvall co-stars and produces, with Scott Cooper writing and directing in his debut.   

Jeff Bridges turn as Bad Blake has thrust him into the Oscar race, with many tipping the 4 time Oscar nominee to win the best actor award.

The film will open in a limited capacity in America on the 16th of December, and will hit Australia and the UK in early 2010.
