Sylvester Stallone will star in the action thriller The Tomb.

Stallone will play Ray Breslin, an authority on high tech prisons who is framed and sent to a high security prison of his own design. He must figure out a way to get and find the person who put him there.

The Tomb has been in development for some time, with fellow action titans Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis attached to star. Original director Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) has also moved on.

Miles Chapman (Road House 2) wrote the screenplay, with Jason Keller (Machine Gun Preacher) providing a rewrite.

A replacement director has yet to be announced.
