Arnold Schwarzenegger continues his acting comeback agreeing to star in the action film Black Sands.

Schwarzenegger will play a loner who wages war against a ruthless weapons manufacturer and his private army. The film is expected to be a cross between Man on Fire and High Plains Drifter.

The former Governor of California is currently shooting The Last Stand directed by Kim Jee-woon, and has completed The Expendables 2 alongside fellow action titans Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis.

Scott Waugh and Mike McCoy (Act of Valour) will direct Black Sands, which is written by Skip Woods.

Production is expected to begin on April 1, 2012.
