Marvel Studios are currently in the process of replacing Edward Norton in the anticipated superhero ensemble The Avengers.

According to HitFix, Marvel has decided that they are going to cast "an unknown" to play Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the film.

This is despite Norton’s enthusiasm to reprise the iconic role and join the likes of Robert Downey Jr.,

Chris Hemsworth, and Chris Evans in the one of a kind film.

It has been suggested that Marvel’s decision revolves around, you guessed it, money.

The Avengers will be directed by Joss Whedon (Serenity) and has a tentative release of May 4, 2012.
